Joanne Lubeck Esser
Program Director
As ECT’s newest staff member, Joanne brings her extensive background in the Arts to draw upon as she steps into the role of Program Director. With roots in San Francisco, Joanne graduated with a BFA in Theatre from UC Santa Barbara in 2004, and then moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of a career in Theatre and Film. Before accepting the position of ECT’s Program Director, Joanne worked in the capacity of an actor/teacher for several groups including East L.A. Classic Theatre as well as performing in touring productions of "Much Ado About Nothing-Mariachi Style!" and "Romeo & Juliet-A Zoot Suit Musical".

Paloma Salazar
Development Assistant
Paloma is the Development Assistant for ECT’s educational programming. Since August of 2007, Paloma has helped create organizational systems that have allowed the Program Department to run more smoothly, as well as assisting with the management of over 65 Artist/Teachers. Before joining ECT, Paloma’s range of experience included working with the Office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee, teaching art through the Upward Bound Program, and facilitating dialogues and discussions with college students about issues of race, class, privilege, sex, age, ability, and other key issues surrounding identity and social justice. She received her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Occidental College in 2007. |

Jerrika Hinton
Curriculum Development Coordinator
Jerrika came to ECT in 2007 because of the company's dedication to both its mission and to the students. A native Texan, Jerrika Hinton carries a BFA in Theatre, with emphases in Playwriting and Directing, from SMU. She is an award-winning playwright and highly accomplished actor - having worked on stages and screens across the US and the World.
