Production - What We Do
As a diverse theater company serving multicultural communities throughout Southern California and beyond, East L.A. Classic Theatre develops new audiences for live theatre by incorporating California’s educational curriculum standards in all of its programs. This enables students to experience theatre that is relevant to their experience at school and in their community.
Further, ECT operates under the Actors Equity Association’s Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) contract which ensures that the actors employed by ECT are trained professionals. ECT takes great pride in offering first-class theatrical entertainment with professional sets, lighting, sound, and costumes, as well as performing in large venues of historic, artistic and architectural interest. All of these elements combine to make East L.A. Classic Theatre unique among its contemporaries.
