Our Teaching Artists

Michelle Castillo received her B.A. in Theatre and B.A. in Dance from the University of California, Irvine. She has continued strengthening her artistic skills at the Universidad Complutense Madrid, as well as Amor De Dios, Spain. Mrs. Castillo's most recent credits include several Film, Television and Theatre appearances, more specifically in East L.A. Classic's "Mariachi Much Ado About Nothing", Dir. Jean Claude La Marre's "Lord, Please Save My Daughter", Shakespeare Independent Theatre's "Midsummer Night's Dream", and Disneyland Productions' "Touch of Magic". Mrs. Castillo is very excited to be starting her MFA studies in 2010.

Sarah Chang graduated from the University of Southern California and integrates her love of theater with dance by choreographing and dancing with CoLab Dance Theatre. As many artists do, she finds inspiration from daily life and other people. In her spare time she enjoys reading, electronic music, yoga, and trying new things: a recent venture includes attemping to incorporate a green living into her daily life.
Elisa Evans has a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre from California State University, Fullerton, and a Teaching Credential from the State of California. She started working in Children's Theatre 15 years ago as a Choreographer. Ms. Evans also taught for Los Angeles Unified School District for 7 years.
Dennis Gersten is co-artistic director of Theatre Unlimited in Noho.  As an actor, director and playwright, he is a member of the Road Theatre and LA Shakespeare, and a founding member of Stagewrights, Inc. in NYC and the Michael Chekhov Studio in Los Angeles.  Dennis received his BA in Theatre from Penn State University and his MFA in Acting from CalArts.  He teaches Theatre courses to college students, third-graders and everyone in-between at ECT, Inside Out, Crescenta Valley Theatre Arts Foundation and LA Valley College.
